As many of you know, I basically do it all... I work, homeschool, go to school myself, try to maintain social life, I am getting back in shape, and the list goes on and on. But how do I keep putting forth my best efforts in all areas, without getting too run-down and drained?

I recharge!

What Does it Mean to Recharge?

  • To me, recharging means to replenish my energy and efforts. To remind myself of my purpose and refocus, with new strategies - if needed.

  • It can also mean that I take time to myself and re-distribute my efforts or change gears to new projects, if I realize that I no longer have passion for things I am pursuing.

How Do I Know When I Need a Recharge?

  • It depends on the scenario but it comes at the time that I am lacking motivation or feeling clustered/ unorganized in my thoughts and actions.

  • I may have stopped utilizing my planner effectively or I am spending large amounts of time on things that I have not spent much time on in the past.

  • However, the ultimate giveaway for me is that I end every night feeling like: "I need more hours in the day."

What are the Benefits of Recharging?

  • For me, I have increased mental clarity and feel more energized each day. This means I can actually get all my tasks completed each day without feeling unproductive or overwhelmed.

  • I can stay on track and ensure that I am continuing to work towards the goals that are most important to me, in this moment.

So, how do I recharge when I am feeling down and lacking motivation?

To Recharge, I:

  • Take a break so I can assess the situation and determine if I need a "refocus" or "redistribute."

  • Relax and have a glass of wine.

  • Sleep in and get some rest.

  • Hang with Max, have a date night, or hang with friends.

  • Revisit my life map and make sure whatever I am currently doing will still lead me to my end goals.

  • Check out Pinterest and get inspiration and motivation for new hobbies I would like to explore and perfect my current hobbies.

Xoxo, Bliss & Miss
