As many of you know, I basically do it all... I work, homeschool, go to school myself, try to maintain social life, I am getting back in shape, and the list goes on and on. But how do I keep putting forth my best efforts in all areas, without getting too run-down and drained?

I recharge!

What Does it Mean to Recharge?

  • To me, recharging means to replenish my energy and efforts. To remind myself of my purpose and refocus, with new strategies - if needed.

  • It can also mean that I take time to myself and re-distribute my efforts or change gears to new projects, if I realize that I no longer have passion for things I am pursuing.

How Do I Know When I Need a Recharge?

  • It depends on the scenario but it comes at the time that I am lacking motivation or feeling clustered/ unorganized in my thoughts and actions.

  • I may have stopped utilizing my planner effectively or I am spending large amounts of time on things that I have not spent much time on in the past.

  • However, the ultimate giveaway for me is that I end every night feeling like: "I need more hours in the day."

What are the Benefits of Recharging?

  • For me, I have increased mental clarity and feel more energized each day. This means I can actually get all my tasks completed each day without feeling unproductive or overwhelmed.

  • I can stay on track and ensure that I am continuing to work towards the goals that are most important to me, in this moment.

So, how do I recharge when I am feeling down and lacking motivation?

To Recharge, I:

  • Take a break so I can assess the situation and determine if I need a "refocus" or "redistribute."

  • Relax and have a glass of wine.

  • Sleep in and get some rest.

  • Hang with Max, have a date night, or hang with friends.

  • Revisit my life map and make sure whatever I am currently doing will still lead me to my end goals.

  • Check out Pinterest and get inspiration and motivation for new hobbies I would like to explore and perfect my current hobbies.

Amazing tips from a full-time mom, full-time student, and part-time healthcare worker. Plus an intro to my coaching biz.

As many people know, I am one busy woman. I juggle it all. As mentioned above, I am a full-time mom to Max that manages to homeschool him while maintaining honors as a full-time college student, and I even manage to pick up a number of shifts at the hospital where I work. My sister and friends call me a Superwoman.

So how is this possible? Tons of helps from my parents and others? Actually no. In reality, my parents are deceased so they are unable to help out with my little one at all and I do not have other family members/friends that are able to help. I am with Max 99.9% of the time and with the exception of Jake (obviously), I do it all alone. #BossMoms

It took a little while for me to realize that I truly have a gift for organizing, planning, and staying motivated, but when I did, I took advantage of it 100%. :) (How?)

Here Are My Tips for Managing It All:

1. Enlist help when you can: Now, I do not have help but if you do, use it. Grab a support system so big that you do not know what to do with yourself! If you are like me and you do not have family/friends that can help, do not worry, you can do this. Just be mindful of managing your time wisely and plan around your biggest priorities.

2. Use a planner: I literally use two planners, one hardcopy and one digital, so I never miss a thing. This is also great, in case one gets ruined or lost. Always write things down because you will not remember, no matter how many times you tell yourself that you will. Color code items based on where it belongs in your life. Example: I have separate sections and colors for Homeschooling, Work, School, Family, and Personal.

3. Prioritize your obligations: Everyone's life is different and everyone has a different set of priorities. For me, my biggest priorities are: Max, school, and then my job. It is good for me to know this because it allows me to plan accordingly. Example: I will not pick up a shift on a day that I planned to take Max on a field trip. However, know that your priorities can change and know how to adjust. Example: During finals week, we will not have trips for class. Instead, we may do more crafts and Max-led projects because I know I need to focus on studying.

Bonus (& Intro to my Coaching Business!): If you need help taking these tips and turning them into actions steps, I can help. A little over a year ago, I began my journey to become a Certified Life Coach. After completing my program, I spent a year coaching relatives and they have successfully graduated. I am now ready to take on more clients! Visit my site here and learn more.

Ps... this is a soft launch and I cannot wait to share more with you.

Xoxo, Bliss.
